WHO WE ARE
People who call the Canadian prairies home know about resilience. Generations of farmers understood the connection between their livelihood and nature. Crop rotation methods and shelterbelts came from hard lessons learned during drought.
Business owners in villages, towns, and cities also understood this connection. A bad crop year meant their sales of goods and services would be down significantly. They understood weather extremes were terrible for everyone.
IBGSE Consulting was born on the prairies and understands this connection to nature. As we head into one of the most challenging periods in human history, the need to embrace resilience and stewardship of our natural world is greater than ever.
WHAT WE DO
At IBGSE Consulting, we understand the impact of the built environment on the climate. We have partnered with several world-class programs that help individuals, businesses, and governments address their climate impact. Through programs such as Passive House, Living Futures International, FitWel, and others, we can help you become a climate change champion while building resilience in your organization or community.
At the very core of our business philosophy is the Triple Bottom Line. People - Planet - Profit. When all three of these are in balance, holistic success is achieved.
WHERE WE LIVE
As a company, we acknowledge that we are located on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 4 Territory, the original lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, Lakota, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
We strive to respect and honour the Treaties that were made on all territories and we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past. This includes the residential schools and their devastating legacy.
We are committed to moving forward in partnership with all Indigenous Nations in the spirit of collaboration and reconciliation by using the 94 Calls To Action outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions report as our guidepost.
